YMCA Chilliwack Revitalization

To meet the needs of the growing community, the new and revitalized Chilliwack YMCA expands the original facility to 36,700 sq. ft., approximately 25% larger than the original facility.

A portion of the centre was demolished and replaced with a new two-storey addition and the remainder was seismically upgraded and renewed to improve this much used community amenity.

The new addition, a two-storey steel framed building, is connected to the existing building and provides additional seismic capacity.

The project features a new gymnasium, an expanded lobby and welcome area, five new multi-purpose rooms, new and upgraded fitness and conditioning studios, a pool upgrade, new family and universal change rooms, outdoor play space and additional amenity and community social space.
