The Station
The Station (also known as Waterfront Station), formerly the Canadian Pacific Railway Station, is a four-storey steel structure, clad with ornamental terracotta and brick, constructed circa 1913 and categorized as a Class A(M) Heritage building protected by the City of Vancouver.
This project started with an investigation into a leak where cracks in the terra-cotta cornice were observed.
This initiated a full review and assessment of the building's façade followed by an extensive pre-design mock-up program.
The project was divided into five phases, starting with the most prominent south east elevation and working around the other elevations.
