RJC completed the structural design for this 9,074 sq. ft., two-storey fire hall located facing Highway No.

15 (176 Street) in Surrey.Surrey Fire Hall No.

14 comprises a large apparatus bay to house three fire trucks, administrative offices and a living space.

The south upper roof consists of exposed wood deck on cantilevered glulam beams.

These glulam cantilevers create roof overhangs that not only achieve aesthetic appeal, but also minimizes thermal bridging.Sustainable design objectives were also addressed through the use of wood, owing to its local and renewable attributes.

The $4M development achieved LEED® Silver certification.
