St. Paul's Anglican Church Renovation and Addition
This church is currently the largest and second oldest Anglican Church in Canada.
It is located on the south side of Bloor Street, east of Yonge at Jarvis in central downtown Toronto.
This innovative four-year $20 million project involved complex construction sequences with consideration for design practicality for additions and renovation work.
New additions to connect all four existing buildings were designed driven by universal cohesive access, security, and accessibility.
All existing buildings have different floor elevations, entrances, and mechanical systems.Renovations were made to restore and reveal beautiful historic features long since covered up during past renovations such as intricate wood trusses, stained glass windows, and stonework.
Much of the work also involved many new additions and added occupancy space for offices and mechanical systems, and opening up existing small spaces previously closed off.
