A.S. Matheson Elementary School Re-Roofing
Located in Kelowna, BC, the A.S.
Matheson Elementary School re-roofing project was initiated by School District No.
23 as part of their annual re-roofing program.
The objective was to replace the aged roof system with a new low-sloped 2ply modified bitumen assembly.
The roof system was carefully designed to meet the insulation and drainage requirements to maximize occupant comfort and minimize ponding water.
Another feature of the project was the incorporation of a red perimeter warning strip to provide a visual indicator of the 2m fall hazard zone near the roof edge.
