Bryan Colvin

Bryan's quick response to client requests and commitment to deadlines has earned him widespread respect. He understands how to mitigate impact and risk working within operational environments, and brings best practices to all his projects. As Managing Principal, he oversees the delivery of a diverse mix of project types and services for the built environment. He is a diligent leader who works to ensure that his team delivers engineering excellence and quality service to clients.
Bryan has been involved in the assessment, restoration and protection of a wide variety of residential, commercial, industrial, parking, institutional and bridge structures acting as base building engineer to Prime Consultant lead on over 400 programs. He was the Prime Consultant lead on the City of Calgary’s Plus 15 network condition lifecycle maintenance program, and the City of Calgary’s LRT platforms extension program, successfully directing a multi-disciplinary team of consultants within challenging operational constraints and performance requirements.
While completing his degree at the University of Calgary, Bryan joined RJC Calgary's Building Science and Restoration team as a summer student. After graduating, he joined RJC fulltime, increasingly taking on leadership roles within the firm within a short timeline. Bryan authored RJC's first Safety Manual and was instrumental in obtaining ACSA COR certification RJC in Alberta. He remains a leader in health and safety with the firm, and was a Certified Auditor with the Alberta Construction Safety Association. Under his leadership, RJC remains one of Alberta’s safest workplaces. Bryan is a professional member the Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI) and chair of RJC’s Post-Tensioning Liaison Group which oversees the firms development of standards, details, reporting and procedures for investigation, analysis and repair of existing post-tensioned and pre-tensioned structures.
